The short version
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you type in are not sent to us or stored by us. We use advertising to keep the site free, and we ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are set.
Your calculator figures
Everything you enter is calculated on your own device. To make results shareable, your figures are added to the page address (the URL) in your browser. They only leave your device if you share that link yourself.
Advertising and cookies
We show adverts provided by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show adverts and measure how they perform. If you agree, the adverts may be personalised based on your browsing. If you don't, you'll see non-personalised adverts, which still use some cookies for things like limiting how often you see the same advert and preventing fraud.
When you first visit from the UK or Europe you'll be asked for your choice. You can change it at any time using the "Privacy and cookie settings" link at the bottom of each page. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
Visitor statistics
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that doesn't use cookies or identify individual visitors. It tells us things like how many people use the calculator, which pages they view and how quickly pages load.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use them to identify you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to ask what we hold and to have it deleted. Because the calculator doesn't collect your figures, we usually hold nothing that identifies you. To ask a question or make a request, email hello@freedomsooner.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
